Arabian Sea - Abdullah Obal The Promise O winds of fate, Bring what soothes the mind. Years have passed, And the situation remains the same. I have not known solace, Nor rest in it. Whenever lightning flashes, Darkness follows. We wait, O Generous One, For joy for the oppressed. Whenever the days pass, They forge me without mercy. I have not lost hope, In the darkness of time and hardship. Fear that tomorrow will call out, "Your joy is a promise!" So smile, my heart, Fear that fate carries for you, After separation, a celebration. I have seen tomorrow with my own eyes, It has begun to blossom. Even if the days appear, To be troubled. The cloud of today or tomorrow may it rain, Watering the eyes of the bewildered, After which, With light and joy, And from it are quenched, The hearts of lovers.
