Arab Gulf - Agencies: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Ismail Baghaei, confirmed on Monday that Iran intends to hold another round of talks with the United Nations' International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the coming days. Iran suspended its cooperation with the IAEA last July, accusing the organization of not condemning Israeli and American attacks on its nuclear facility the previous month. Israel also attacked Iran on June 13, bombing targets across the country, with the Israeli government saying they were preemptive strikes to prevent Iran from building a nuclear bomb. Iran, which has always insisted that its nuclear program is for civilian purposes only, denies these allegations and responded with missile and drone attacks on Israel. After 12 days of war, during which the United States dropped its most powerful conventional weapons on key Iranian nuclear sites, a ceasefire was reached. Earlier on Monday, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, confirmed that the possibility of a new war breaking out is possible at any moment, stressing that Tehran is preparing itself to face the worst possibilities. Safavi said in statements reported by the "IRNA" agency on Monday that "Iran is not in a ceasefire, but in a stage of war," noting that any truce may collapse at any time, especially in the absence of any protocols or agreements with the United States or Israel.
