Arab Gulf - Agencies: Russian forces announced that they had taken control of two new towns in eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of towns they have managed to control in two days to three, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. In a statement on Saturday, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that its forces had taken control of the town of Kolodyazi in Donetsk, and the town of Voronoye in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The Russian Ministry of Defense explained in a statement: "As a result of the active and decisive actions carried out by units of the Russian Eastern Group of Forces, the town of Voronoye in the Dnipropetrovsk region was liberated." The statement added: "As a result of active operations, units from the Russian Western Group of Forces liberated the town of Kolodyazi in the Donetsk People's Republic." The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement yesterday, Friday, that forces from the 36th Motor Rifle Brigade of the Eastern Group had taken control of the town of Aleksandrograd in Donetsk.
