Arab Sea_Reports: The Russian Foreign Ministry, on Sunday, condemned the Israeli Security Cabinet's approval of a plan to expand military operations in the Gaza Strip, with the aim of controlling its central region, which was the most densely populated. The Foreign Ministry said in a statement: "According to reports, Israel aims to forcibly evacuate all Palestinian civilians from the area in the near future, leaving no civilians behind. The Israeli government has not hidden its intention to seek a complete military occupation of Gaza." The statement added: "Such decisions and actions, which have been met with widespread condemnation and rejection, risk exacerbating the already dire situation in the Palestinian enclave, which bears all the hallmarks of a humanitarian catastrophe." The Foreign Ministry considered that "further escalation will severely undermine international efforts to de-escalate the conflict, with consequent destabilizing consequences for the entire Middle East." Russia affirmed "its firm position that an immediate ceasefire in Gaza is imperative, all hostages and detainees must be released, and unhindered access to humanitarian aid must be restored." It pointed out that: "Moscow remains convinced that the only viable solution lies within the defined framework of international law, which revolves around the two-state principle. This requires the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, living side by side with Israel in peace and security."
