**((Bahralarab)) Follow-ups:** U.S. President Donald Trump announced an upcoming meeting between the United States and Russia on Wednesday. Trump told reporters on Tuesday, "We have a meeting with Russia... We'll see what happens." The meeting is scheduled to take place a few days before the deadline set by Trump for Russian President Vladimir Putin to reach a ceasefire in the ongoing war in Ukraine. The U.S. President did not provide further details, including who will attend the meeting. Trump stated on Sunday that he plans to send his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, to Russia in the middle of the week. Trump confirmed that he intends to impose sanctions if the deadline, which ends on Friday, passes without a result. The sanctions aim to target countries that buy Russian oil and gas, in order to restrict Moscow's ability to finance its war in neighboring Ukraine. The U.S. President also announced on Monday his intention to raise tariffs on India due to its continued trade with Moscow, without specifying the percentage of the new tariffs.
