The Afghan Taliban government vowed on Tuesday to respond to Pakistani airstrikes that targeted its territory overnight, killing 10 people, describing the attack as a "crime." Government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a post on the "X" platform that "Kabul will respond in the appropriate manner and time," in an indication of a new escalation in tension between the two neighboring countries. These statements come after a deadly suicide bombing two weeks ago in Islamabad, which killed 12 people, and Pakistani authorities said that the perpetrators planned the attack from inside Afghanistan.
