Arab Sea Newspaper - Follow-ups:

The "Israel Hayom" newspaper revealed on Tuesday that the security services in Israel are seriously dealing with the possibility of Iranian interference in the upcoming elections, describing it as "almost certain." It indicated that Tehran seeks to exploit the internal division to destabilize political stability through widespread disinformation campaigns on social media platforms. According to the report prepared by security expert Danny Citrinowicz, Iran is managing a network of fake accounts aimed at sowing discord between Jewish and Arab voters through three stages: influence before the vote, disruption during election day, and then undermining the legitimacy of the results after they are announced. The newspaper explained that Iran is basing these plans on its previous experience in interfering in the 2020 US elections, and is using artificial intelligence techniques to increase the realism of fake accounts. Units of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard are overseeing these operations, which are said to have already begun. The report called on the Israeli authorities to raise electronic readiness and strengthen intelligence oversight to protect the integrity of the electoral process from any external penetration.
