Columbia Shipmanagement, the operator of the Marshall Islands-flagged tanker "Talara," announced that Iran released the ship today (Wednesday), confirming that all 21 crew members are safe. The company explained in a statement that the ship is free to resume its normal operations, noting that it has informed the crew's families of the news. This is the first seizure of an oil tanker by Tehran since the Israeli and American strikes on Iran last June, raising concerns about the safety of ships sailing through vital waterways carrying energy shipments to global markets.
