Arabian Sea - Follow-ups: The Turkish Disaster Management Authority stated that an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.9 struck the Balıkesir region in northwestern Turkey today, Sunday. There were no reports of damage or injuries. The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) clarified that the earthquake occurred in Sındırgı, Balıkesir region, at a depth of 7.72 kilometers. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya also wrote on the X platform that disaster management teams, along with other emergency teams, are conducting field inspections after the earthquake. Last month, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck the same region, killing one person and causing some buildings to collapse.
