**Arabian Sea_Reuters:** U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the United States may have to "cancel" trade agreements it has made with the European Union, Japan, South Korea and others if it loses a tariff case before the Supreme Court. Trump warned that losing the case would cause "great suffering" for the United States. He told reporters at the White House that his administration would ask the Supreme Court to overturn an appeals court ruling last week that found many of the tariffs illegal, predicting his administration would win the case. Trump added: "We made a deal with the European Union where they pay us almost a trillion dollars; do you know that? They're happy; it's done; these deals are all done... I think we'll have to cancel them." These are Trump's first comments hinting at the possibility of invalidating agreements with major trading partners if the Supreme Court upholds Friday's ruling, according to Reuters. Trump indicated that canceling the tariffs would be costly, although trade experts point out that the tariffs are paid by importers in the United States, not companies in the countries of origin. Economists have warned that tariffs are likely to lead to increased inflation in the United States.
