Arab Sea - Follow-ups: Israel announced on Wednesday the launch of the "Ofek 19" spy satellite via a "Shavit" rocket, as part of its military space program, confirming that it is equipped with advanced radar technology that allows monitoring around the clock and in all weather conditions. Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the satellite represents "a global achievement and a message to enemies that Israel is always watching them," noting that its operation will be transferred to the military intelligence unit. According to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, "Ofek 19" aims to expand surveillance capabilities in the Middle East, including Iran and Yemen, with plans to deploy about 20 satellites to ensure comprehensive coverage and monitor nuclear and missile activities. The launch comes two months after a 12-day war between Israel and Iran, which left thousands dead and wounded, at a time when Israel continues its devastating war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023, which has resulted in more than 63,000 martyrs and 160,000 wounded, most of them women and children.
