An Israeli court approved on Sunday a request by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to postpone hearings in his corruption trial, according to a document published by the Likud party. The Likud party, led by Netanyahu, published a document issued by the Jerusalem District Court. It stated: "After submitting clarifications, which witnessed real changes, and based on the new data compared to previous decisions, we partially approve the request and cancel at this stage the days set for the hearings of (Benjamin) Netanyahu on June 30 and July 2." The court had rejected Netanyahu's request to postpone his trial hearings on Friday. Netanyahu was indicted in 2019 on charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust, but he denies them all. His trial began in 2020 in three criminal cases. US President Donald Trump criticized the Israeli Public Prosecution on Saturday regarding Netanyahu's trial. Trump said in a post on "Truth Social": "What the out of control prosecutors are doing with Netanyahu is crazy," adding that the legal proceedings will affect Netanyahu's ability to hold talks with both Hamas and Iran." Netanyahu reposted what Trump wrote on his account on the "X" platform, and added: "Thank you again... Donald Trump. Together we will make the Middle East great again."
