Arab Gulf - Follow-ups: The "Global Flotilla for Palestine" has set sail from Barcelona, Spain, comprising activists in solidarity with Palestine and carrying humanitarian aid in an attempt to break the occupation's siege on the Gaza Strip. This comes after the flotilla, consisting of the "Freedom Flotilla Coalition," the "International Gaza Movement," the "Solidarity Convoy," and the Malaysian "Solidarity Nusantara Organization," completed its final preparations to sail with the participation of dozens of ships to break the siege on Gaza. The flotilla includes activists from 44 countries, European parliamentarians, and figures, including the former Mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau, and the Portuguese left-wing MP, Mariana Mortágua. The ships, numbering in the dozens, left the port of Barcelona to open a humanitarian corridor and put an end to the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people, according to the organizers of this initiative. The steering committee of the "Global Flotilla for Palestine" called on the masses from all over the world to support the flotilla. It pointed out that this flotilla is an extension and inspiration of the efforts of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition since 2010, starting with the Mavi Marmara ship, through successive attempts to break the siege, up to the waves of breaking the siege for 2025, which have so far been represented by the Ships of Conscience, Madeleine, and Hanzala, which were intercepted by "Israel." The activists participating in the flotilla, which is the largest to date, called on the governments of the world to pressure the occupation to allow their flotilla to break the siege of Gaza. For his part, the spokesman for the "Global Flotilla for Palestine," Saif Abu Kishk, affirmed that the initiative will work tirelessly until the siege on the Strip is broken and the genocide in Gaza is stopped. Kishk expressed his great dismay at the lack of action by governments to stop the genocidal massacres and famine in Gaza. He added that the "Global Flotilla for Palestine" initiative was born in protest against the silence of governments, seeking to stop the genocide in Gaza. In addition, Hebrew media said that the Minister of National Security of the occupation, Itamar Ben Gvir, will present Netanyahu with a plan to confront the Flotilla for Palestine if it approaches the occupied Palestinian waters. It pointed out that Ben Gvir suggested to Netanyahu seizing the ships and arresting the solidarity activists participating in them, in the Negev and Damon prisons, under the brutal conditions in which Palestinian prisoners are treated.
