The deceased, may God have mercy on him, was an example of integrity and sincerity, a wise voice known for his wisdom and insight, and left his clear mark on the institutional work of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals, and contributed with his knowledge and experience to developing the sector's performance and keeping pace with its challenges. Dr. Matouq Hassan Al-Ruaini is a well-known social figure and holds a doctorate in petroleum environment and sustainable development and a higher diploma in development media. In September 2023, the Minister of Oil and Minerals issued a decision appointing Dr. Matouq Al-Ruaini as Director of Oil and Mineral Media in the Ministry's office in Aden. Al-Ruaini holds the position of Advisor to the Minister of Oil and Minerals for Environmental Affairs, Occupational Safety, and Facility Security. His departure represents a painful loss for the professional and national community, and in this great tragedy, we can only pray to God Almighty to have mercy on him with the mercy of the righteous, honor his abode, and grant him spacious gardens, and inspire his family, relatives, and loved ones with patience and solace.
