Hadramout ((Arabian Sea)) Follow-ups: The Hadramout Tribal Alliance issued a statement expressing its deep concern about the deteriorating living and service conditions in the coastal districts, especially the city of Mukalla, in light of the continued collapse of the national currency and the deterioration of electricity, water, health, and education services, stressing that what the governorate is going through today is the result of continuous negative accumulations that have not found their way to treatment so far. The statement pointed out that the Hadrami community had repeatedly warned during the past year of the danger of continuing this deterioration, stressing that there is a broad popular consensus on the need to achieve the project of self-governance for Hadramout as a strategic option to get out of the current crisis and build a developmental, economic, and security future befitting the governorate and its people. The statement criticized the lack of local, regional, and international response to the voice of the Hadramis, warning of parties it described as "greedy," which seek to impose their hegemony on Hadramout from outside the governorate with the help of internal tools, which further complicates the situation and deepens the suffering of citizens. The Alliance affirmed its full support for any peaceful steps taken by the people of Hadramout to express their demands and rights, holding the security and military agencies responsible for protecting citizens and public institutions, and demanding that they deal with popular movements with high responsibility that guarantees freedom of expression and preserves social peace. The Alliance also called on the Arab coalition countries and the international community to assume their responsibilities towards Hadramout urgently, warning that ignoring these demands will push them to take other steps that the Alliance deems appropriate to serve the governorate and its people.
